Fellow Natalia Larrea (Canada, 2011) has led a simulated mission at the Mars Desert Research Station of the Mars Society.
For fifteen days, the aerospace engineer headed a team of eight people at the base in Utah (USA) as their commander. Two weeks of isolation have served to put the crew to the test and take notes for real missions to Mars in the future.
During the simulated mission, the team worked on different research projects combining technical areas with areas focused on skills such as leadership ability and teamwork.
