Electrical Engineer, MSc, PhD, from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) with a wide research activity in signal processing and communications, and able to leverage mathematical, statistical and programming tools for information learning theory. With talent to obtain, analyze and synthetize knowledge, exhibits creative critical thinking, and professional communication skills. Awarded by a "la Caixa" fellowship, spent a one-year research program at Columbia University and attended graduate courses on machine learning, and advanced signal processing. In October 2014, he joined the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) as postdoctoral researcher. Dr Font-Segura is a recipient of the Best Paper Award at the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), Budapest, Hungary. In 2015, he was awarded a Juan de la Cierva Fellowship, and in 2016 he was member of the Organizing Committee of the IEEE International Symposium of Information Theory (ISIT) held in Barcelona.
